Juanes Pineda

By the grace of God I have been able to return to my home country, Colombia. After spending two years in the US, and being equipped for the work, I was commended by Wauwatosa Bible Chapel in 2022.

I serve the Lord in three main areas:

1. Evangelism and Discipleship:

The Lord is using me to disciple young men in their walk with God. We use different ways to present the gospel, mainly through sports. We build relationships and friendships, and as we walk with people the Lord always provides spaces for us to talk about Jesus. Some of our friends have come to believe in Jesus, so we teach them to observe what the Lord has commanded (Mt. 28:20).

2. Church Growth:

I was part of a church plant in a city called Duitama 3 years ago. We still don't have elders recognized, and so we're equipping men for the call the Lord may have for them regarding leadership. We also have different spaces to teach our congregation how to study God's word and grow in their walk with the Lord.

3. Small Town Outreach:

We visit a small town called Pesca (it means fishing) and have two main activities to connect with young people there. We hold an ultimate frisbee practice on Mondays, and basketball on Wednesdays. We have had opportunities to preach the gospel there, and we're praying to start a more formal meeting to study the Bible.
